Challenges

Due May 17, 2007 Joint challenge with the River City Dollmakers.

Make a doll based on a chosen muse from the book The Nine Modern Day Muses (and a Bodyguard) by Jill Badonsky.  This book guides and encourages creative inspiration for artist, writers, lovers, and other mortals wanting to live a dazzling existence.

Pattern and directions for doll/pindoll book are due at the June 21, 2008 meeting. It MUST be an original pattern and be 8 inches or less.  Make a sample of your doll/pin and bring it in to be photographed.

Brown Bag  Friendship Doll Exchange

Club participation is strictly voluntary.  You bring a naked doll body in a brown bag with your name printed on the bag. The doll may be original or from a pattern of your choosing.  The first month you will choose a bag and your must complete a face of that doll.  You will have two months to accomplish that and bring the doll in the same bag back to the August 17 meeting and once again you choose a bag (not one with your name on it). This time you put your name on the new to you bag and complete the hair. This process continues until there is a finished doll.

Challenge 2008 Doll due October 18.  This year we are doing a monochromatic color theme. Paint Chips have been drawn at previous meeting. You must present your color chip with you doll for judging.  You may incorporate solid or printed fabrics but they must contain your selected color, well as close to it as you can get.  You may make the doll from flesh color and have normal hair color....if you desire.
